TRAX has been advocating for various issues since more than 7 years such as standardised helmets, 180 Degree Visibility, Implementation of Section 138(4)(f) - Two Helmets with a Motorised Two Wheeler by manufacturer,Ban Sales of Non-Standardised helmets,Inclusion of Helmets in BIS Standard List,Removal of 18% TAX on Helmet, Developing Safer Infrastructure and Safe School Zone.Helmet Advocacy
TRAX has been advocating for standardised helmets for last 6 years, to reach its goal. We are functioning through many interventions in different modules by considering all age group, gender and different tropical and geographical conditions.
A- TRAX with other NGO Colleagues and Road Safety Advocates presented the cases to the Honourable Supreme Court Committee on Road Safety. Thanks to all NGOs from different parts of India for coming together.
B- Helmet Distributions to Kavadiya
A joint initiative of steel birds, Ghaziabad Police and TRAX. Keeping in mind safety of the two-wheeler the objective to begin this initiative to distributed Helmets and spreading awareness on road safety to the Kavadiyas who travelling on bike. The activity carried out at different locations in Uttar Pradesh. Almost 1000 of Kavadiyas facilitated by helmet were travelling without helmet.
C- National Bike Rider on a Mission Ms. Pooja Yadav, Solo biker TRAX’s Volunteer to continuance of ‘MISSION – HELMET’ initiative which started on 19th November (on the moment of WDR) with unforgettable support of the family, Police officers, Transport Officers, and NGOs across the country ever since of the Ride and completed a 10,000 km Motorcycle Journey to 15 stated and 42 Cities across India .Likewise with the same objective to carry forward this mission at the next level she spread awareness in Uttarakhand and Himachal and also met decision makers including enforcement agencies and gathered commitments from the officials like Principal Secretary, Transport Commissioner, to ensure that Rider have to wear ISI marked Standardized helmets.
A- Advocacy for Damage Bridge to Be Reconstructed-Jaipur Ring Road
TRAX believes in providing practical and effective solutions in order to improve road safety. In the process of providing safer infrastructure design, we are working for this domain for a long time across India. Unfortunately, we have seen an article published on 5th August’2019 regarding Ring Road, Jaipur in Rajasthan Patrika.
Article reported that the stretch was in the worst conditions and required urgent attention by the authorities. While keeping in mind the risk of commuters at that stretch, we approached the concerned authorities to resolve the issue and suggestions were seriously considered by them.
B- SAFE ROAD INFRASTRUCTURE-Audit for Rectification Vulnerable Stretch Safe Road Foundation has initiated the project with TRAX to rectify the Tri - intersection. The Central Road Research Institute and iRAP are also associated for the Project and the project is continued. Mr.PaulClark, Former Transport Minister, United Kingdom and Special Consultant to TRAX have been involved in the project from the inception of this initiative and he has also been part of the delegation who has submitted the report to the concerned Authorities.
As TRAX has been advocating for Safe and Standardised Helmets for Riders and Pillion Riders, we have extended our Project to the Safety of Two Heeler Riders which includes Safe Design of Vehicle also. In view of the Follow -Up of Safe Riding Initiative Conference, dedicated To Safety of Two Wheeler Riders and Pillion Rider organised by TRAX and Central Road Research Institute under the auspices of Ministry of Road Transport and Highways on April 12-13, 2018.
The decision of Government of India, for making the ABS system mandatory for the Two – Wheeler in India, as a step forward to assure the Safe Two –Wheeler Design.TRAX also along with many other Stakeholders and NGO’s have advocated for the same.TRAX also submitted the recommendations from the SRI conference to Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, NitiAaayog and other stakeholders for needful actions.
The India Road Safety Conclave 2019 is a step forward towards Road Safety in Hyderabad. The conclave was a joint initiative of TRAX and India Ahead News Channel, in association with Helmet Manufacturers Association and Indian Alliance of NGOs for Road Safety.
The Chief Guest for the event was Shri Puvvada Ajay Kumar, Honourable Transport Minister, Telangana.Many reputed Dignitaries were presented and shared their expert views on Road Safety in India. The Conclave objectives were to focusing on various aspects of Road Safety and included three sessions on topics such as the Importance of Standardised Helmet for Motorised Two-Wheeler, Role of Media towards Road Safety and Road Crashes - A Challenge to the Insurance Sector.
‘Ride to Safety Initiative’ a campaign dedicated to Child Helmet and Road Safety Awareness. TRAX is attached with Ride to Safety Campaign from its inception for last five years.TRAX has also been shouldering the responsibility of its execution in different cities in India including Delhi, Noida, Bangalore, Chennai and Ahmedabad.The project is its continuation phase. Approx. 30,000 Free Helmet Distribution by TRAX under the Project.2- Awareness session at Schools
Safe School Zone In the continuation mobilization of community Young Representatives of TRAX conducting awareness sessions in schools for School Authorities, Teachers and Students on Road Safety and especially on Safe School Zone explaining them about Zebra Crossing, Understanding Signage’s, Role of School Authorities and Teachers for Safe School Zone etc. And also assisting them for their initiatives to promote Safe School Zone.3- Road safety and Juniors
Road Safety and juniorsis a self-sustainable model jointly initiated by Government of Haryana, M.G. Motor and TRAX S. Society. The Road Safety and Juniors Campaign has completed with the #One Hour for Nation activity. Thousands of students and apporx.170 schools have come together and raised the voice for Safer Roads in Gurugram ad Faridabad, Haryana.295 teachers from 257 schools and 504 school bus drivers have been trained on Road Safety and the Role of Bystander as well as first aid education.
Approximately 167000 students were sensitized through this initiative directly. And Approx. 5 lac people were aware through various activities including Chain activity, Placement of Hoarding/ Banners /Posters, Video Created by the client based on Road Safety and Juniors Achievements.
An Initiative by Eicher Group Foundation and TRAX S. Society Supported By Kolkata Traffic Police.To achieve a goal by encouraging youth to use the Standardised Helmets. Almost 17 Colleges of students and thousands of by passers (violators) have been sensitized through this initiative. The initiative has been appreciated by different stakeholders involved through many positive feedbacks and Case studies.
The project was dedicated to improve the community’s safety including pedestrian and School students near the railway stations by spreading Road Safety messages by conducting various activities. Team Interaction and Street plays were done in schools in Districts of Uttar Pradesh. Through this campaign Team TRAX have spread the message to the commuters and school students.
TRAX has been associated with Noida Traffic Police since years and ran many knowledgeable activities to instil Road Safety in community. In 2020, we have been involved in various Road Safety Programs with them. This year TRAX ran the awareness campaign with Noida Traffic Police during the Road safety Month Uttar Pradesh. During the Inaugural ceremony, Ms.Gandhi initiated the Opening Speech, whereas SSP, has addressed he Police officers to be a Role Model for general Public. A Rally was flagged off by SSP and SP Traffic, Noida.
TRAX has been observing the WDoR (World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims) since the last 7 years in association with the Transport Department, Traffic Police and The Great India Place.
FICCI in association with Haryana Police, Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D), Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India organised National-level Police Expo in Gurugram, Haryana on March 5-6, 2020. Wherein Team TRAX conducted a very interactive Road Safety Session by engaging the audience by conducting various activities such as to avoid distracted driving, Writing Road Safety Slogans and Quiz and rapid fire sessions and against that winners were facilitated with helmets.
A Self-Sustainable Road Safety Track to make Children, aware of Road Sense, Furniture, Hurdles, Problems and way to use Roads. In School Road Safety Parks developed in Bal-Bharti School, Jain Happy School and Ram Jas School in Delhi.
Awareness is a key approach to spreading knowledge ,keeping same in mind TRAX actively conducts awareness sessions at Schools ,Colleges, Community Level and Corporate houses, inculcated on Road Safety life style, Travel Planning, Fatigue Management, Behavioural Attributes and many other aspects of Road Safety. And also organized physiological activities based on Road to enhance the Road Safety values amongst them.
Series initiated by TRAX during the occasion of National Road Safety Week 2020 .The goal of this initiative to reach different schools students. Team TRAX had lead the sessions and reached to different schools and colleges to interact with young champs. The covered locations are Delhi, Gurugram and Faridabad.
During Road Safety week Uttar Pradesh, observed from October 14-20,2019 .Team TRAX taken a part in candle march for spreading Road Safety message to Public in Gautambuddh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh.The transport and traffic department organised awareness programmes in schools, colleges, and other academic institutions and also conduct an intensive enforcement drive.
TRAX has been associated with UL and YSA for Safer Road Safer India campaign in 2016 .This campaign call for creative solutions from young Indians to work towards Safer Roads and in turn a Safer India. The campaign ran across the five cities Banglore, Delhi, Pune, Mumbai and Ahmedabad.

Team TRAX and Volunteers from A.F.S. surveyed the Pedestrian facilities at Paharganj, New Delhi. During this survey volunteers have observed the problem faced by the students especially due to lack of proper facilities near their school. Senior citizens also shared their problems as pedestrians. Volunteers had interacted with Traffic Cops also.4- Youth Road Safety Program

A- Train the Trainer programme initially initiated by Transport Department Government of Punjab and TRAX Sports Society with the aim to train the teachers on Road Safety and promoting Safe School Zone around the schools in Mohali. The pilotproject started was in September, 2017 Mohali since than TRAX is continuously promoting Road Safety values by focusing teachers who are the Nation’s Builder. Now we are training teachers across the country.In Mohali almost 150 teachers were trained on Road SafetyB- Training of Teachers –Gurugram and Faridabad School Bus Driver Training
TRAX believes to engage and sensitize all group people including drivers who called as Sarathi and they are very important for us as they keep the responsibility of our students. Training of these friends will definitely help us to improving Road Safety as well as inculcating road safety values in our students too. Under Road Safety and Juniors Programme we have Trained 504 drivers on Road Safety in Gurugram and Faridabad.Corporate Drivers Training Programme
In the mission of sensitizing driver, we have trained almost 700 drivers have been trained from the corporate houses on Role of Bystander and First Aid Training.4- Training at Air Force Station
Air Force Station observe National Road Safety week every year and being a Road Safety NGO Expert they invite TRAX every year for spreading awareness in their staffs and their families. In 2018 the subject was Road Safety and Post Crash Care Response.
We are really glad and appreciate the Government of India for introducing various required structural guidelines in the process of enhancing the Road Safety Rules and Regulations. Having such Structural guidelines TRAX believe to re-address guidelines in Central and State with concerned Departments for the appropriate functioning of the law. We are reaching too many concerned departments for implementing such key guidelines in a right way.Addressing Key guidelines are following:
1. Implementation of Section 138(4)(f) for standardized helmets in States of India-
We approached to the every state who were not complied this rule resulting that States are implementing Section 138(f) (4. The existing guideline is to provide Two Helmets with a New Motorised Two Wheeler. Many Government –Notification are attached in folder.
2. Inclusion of Helmets in BIS Standard List-
We are working for bring helmet under BIS helmet since very long time .Ministry of Road Transport and Highways issued a notification on 31st July,2020 for taking suggestion for general public. To take responses of general public we ran a campaign to take signatureto bring notification into concrete shape.The response was 100% positive.
3. Post-Crash Investigation and Safe Two Wheeler Design-
TRAX also reaching many stakeholders for the proper crash investigation under 135A.

To improve visibility level at intersections, we are advocating for 180 degree visibility for the safety of road users especially at intersections.Team TRAX with concerned authorities took up the issue and after regular endeavours, the visibility of level has increased at Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhaya Marg. The length of plantation on divider in accordance with IRC standard.

Considering the responsibility many NGOs came forward to serve the community in this Covid-19 pandemic .Likewise we (TRAX Road Safety NGO) keeping in mind the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, came forward the warriors including frontline warriors, Stranded truck driver and community by extended help in Delhi and Kolkata.Distribution Food and Daily Essential Truck Drivers
At the very first, supported stranded truck drivers (Saarthi) and the local community at Sanjay Gandhi Transport Nagar, New Delhi by distributing Food, as well as Masks and Sanitizers at the different Security booths from Central Delhi to Alipur.Support to Frontline Warriors
Along with support of Drivers, we approached for the safety frontline Corona warriors,in continuation #todefeatcorona another drive initiated with Delhi Police. Wherein, we have deployed the Disinfect Machines for different Police Stations and related Barricade locations as well as handed over Masks and Sanitizers to Officers.Support 8000 Affected Familiesin Amphan Cyclone
We have reached 8000 Families with the help of Kolkata Police. Wherein we have been provided relief kits to the deprived people of Kolkata including food, masks, sanitizer and other essentials. Also provided sanitizer to the Kolkata frontline warriors and Sanitizers machines with Material for the Police Stations. Thus far, we have been able to serve to approx. 20000 people and 8000 families.

Especially In case of Road Traffic Crashes, the impact of TV Commercials from automobile industry can play a Pivotal role in inculcating ‘Correct Road Traffic Behaviour’ in road users. It is sad to see that the most Of the Automotive TV Commercials along with others are not in tandem of promoting ‘Safety Aspect’ Amongst road users and tempting negligent and dangerous road behaviour. Advertisements must Showcase ‘Safe Driving Behaviour’ rather than depicting Negligent/Dangerous Driving and over Speeding with a ‘FUN’ element.Adverse Impact of Not Wearing Helmet To increase Frequently Road Accident In India:
This study estimate that two-wheelers remained the most unsafe mode of transport, not just for The riders but also posed maximum danger to there on the road. Crashes due to two-wheelers Resultedin 44,000 deaths while 52,500 riders died in road accidents, which is nearly 35% of the Total road deaths in 2016. “Safety of two-wheeler occupants is a big issue not just in India but for The entire south-east Asian region where their share is the highest among all types of vehicles. The transport ministry has taken some initiatives, including. Mandatory installation of anti-lock Braking system in two- wheelers, which prevents the wheels from locking up during braking. 180 Degree Visibility on Roads to improve the judgment/ Reaction timeand to Avoid Road Crashes:
