ABOUT US

The idea behind our working in ‘Road Safety’ domain has its roots in a sad incident occurred in 2007 which was witnessed by Trax President Mr. Anurag Kulshrestha. It was a dirt bike competition in Noida a suburban town of New Delhi, the Indian Capital City. During the competition a contestant while performing stunts in the air lost his balance and fell down belly flop from a height of approx 10-12 fts resulting in severe kidney damage. The contestant survived the injury though but was handicapped for the rest of his life. This incidence shook Mr. Anurag to the core and he decided to do something for the victims of Road Traffic Crashes.

Thus Trax S. Society came into existence on 31st October’2007. Along with Mr. Anurag, Ms. Rajni Gandhi, General Secretary, Trax became the founder member. It was a time when ‘Road Safety’ was an alien word, even for the stake holders. During our journey in the domain, we identified ‘Human Errors’ as prime factor behind Road Traffic Crashes in India. We started working in the domain with new ideas and innovative approach keeping Road Traffic Behaviour and Psychology of Indian Road Users in mind.

Whatever we are today and achieved to the date is a result of heartfelt involvement, passion and dedication for Road Safety shown by Team Trax. Today, Trax is known as an epitome of Road Safety in India and succeeded to mark its presence at some International Platforms like Global Alliance of NGOs’ for Road Safety and International Road Federation-Geneva. We are committed to strive hard until number of road traffic crashes in India are reduced and Road Users learn to behave sensibly on roads.
