At TRAX, research and innovation form the foundation of our road safety interventions. We collaborate with government agencies, industry leaders, academic institutions, and technical experts to develop evidence-based solutions that address emerging road safety challenges. Through research, policy advocacy, behavioural studies, and engineering innovations, we work towards creating safer roads and influencing long-term systemic change across India.

Our key research and innovation initiatives include:

• 180° Visibility Initiative – Advocacy for clean visibility especially near cuts and crossing on roads. Time to Time talks with the Civil agencies for the implementation of IRC codes for vegetation to avoid the unexpected road crashes due to un managed/wrong vegetation on medians, footpaths or on roads 
• Helmet Advocacy – Driving nationwide campaigns to promote the use of BIS-certified helmets, combat counterfeit helmets, strengthen helmet safety regulations, and encourage behavioural change among two-wheeler riders and policymakers.
• MCRP (Media Content Regulatory Program) – Advocacy for right content to be used in Visual & Print Advertising in Media. Representation to Hon’ble Supreme Court Committee on Road Safety Advocacy with Advertising Standard Council of India 
• Traffic Signal vs. Blinking Mode Research – Conducting studies on the effectiveness of conventional traffic signals compared to blinking mode operations at intersections to support data-driven traffic management and improve junction safety.
• Safe Infrastructure Research – Undertaking road safety audits, black spot assessments, engineering studies, and infrastructure evaluations to identify risks and recommend practical, evidence-based solutions that create safer roads for all users.
