As part of its commitment to protecting vulnerable road users, TRAX took a pioneering step by submitting a draft proposal for Child Safety Harness Standards for Two-Wheelers to the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). The initiative aimed to address the growing risk faced by child passengers travelling on motorcycles and scooters across India.
Recognizing the urgent need for child-specific safety measures, TRAX advocated for the development and standardization of safety harness systems that can provide enhanced protection, stability, and security for children riding as pillion passengers. The proposed standards focus on improving child road safety, reducing the risk of falls, and promoting safer family travel on two-wheelers.
This effort reflects TRAX’s continued leadership in road safety policy advocacy and its commitment to strengthening child passenger safety through evidence-based regulations, safer mobility solutions, and national safety standards.
