TRAX has been a leading advocate for evidence-based road safety policies in India, working closely with government agencies, policymakers, enforcement authorities, and international organizations to create systemic change. Our policy interventions have contributed to advancements in helmet safety regulations, child road safety measures, Safe School Zone standards, road safety enforcement, and safer infrastructure design.
Key advocacy efforts include promotion of BIS-certified helmets, implementation of Rule 138(4)(f) of the Central Motor Vehicle Rules, child helmet safety regulations, Safe School Zone speed limits, and measures to eliminate fake and substandard helmets. Through continuous engagement with stakeholders, TRAX has helped translate road safety research into practical policy action aimed at reducing road traffic fatalities and serious injuries.
