TRAX is a pioneer in developing Safe School Zones (SSZs) across India, creating safer environments for children on their journey to and from school. Through evidence-based road safety interventions, traffic calming measures, pedestrian-friendly infrastructure, and stakeholder engagement, we have successfully transformed 14 Vulnerable School Zones into Safe School Zones across Delhi, Gurugram, Faridabad, Mumbai, and Agartala.
As a strong advocate for child road safety, TRAX played a key role in advocating with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) during 2017–18 for the adoption of a 25 km/h speed limit around school zones, promoting safer mobility for students and reducing the risk of road traffic injuries.
Our Safe School Zone model continues to serve as a replicable solution for protecting children, improving road safety infrastructure, and building safer communities across India.
